Take hold of a monster opportunity and join Australian Retirement Trust as our Compliance Partner, Investments. You'll provide trusted, practical compliance guidance to our Investments teams, translate complex regulatory obligations into action, and help strengthen risk management and compliance culture across one of Australia's largest superannuation funds.
Description
We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Compliance Partner, Investments, you'll be a strategic adviser and trusted partner to our Line 1 Investments business units, helping them understand and meet their compliance obligations.
You'll bring together regulatory knowledge, commercial judgement and strong stakeholder skills to provide clear, practical advice. Working closely with Investments and other Line 2 teams, you'll identify emerging risks, support regulatory change and help develop compliance plans that reflect both operational realities and regulatory expectations.
This is an opportunity to influence at senior levels, turn complex information into meaningful action and contribute to a consistent, effective compliance framework across the organisation. Through your advice, challenge and partnership, you'll also help strengthen our compliance culture and support better outcomes for our members.
This role is a permanentopportunity based in either Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.

- Provide proactive, practical advice to help business teams meet their compliance obligations effectively.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop fit-for-purpose compliance plans that reflect operational processes and regulatory expectations.
- Work with other Line 2 functions, including Regulatory Change,
to align on regulatory expectations and assess the impact of new reforms and regulations.
- Support the Compliance Monitoring and Reporting team with reviews undertaken through the Line 2 Compliance Plan.
- Interpret complex regulatory obligations and translate them into transparent, practical guidance for the business.
- Build compliance capability and culture through training, awareness and stakeholder engagement.
- Help drive remediation and continuous improvement based on insights from incidents and thematic reviews.
- Support other Compliance Partners and contribute to broader team priorities as required.
Qualifications
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- Your experience includes significant work in compliance, legal, risk or a related area within financial services or superannuation.
- You'll bring a strong understanding of compliance management processes, frameworks and regulatory expectations.
- You're highly knowledgeable about Australian superannuation legislation, prudential standards and regulatory expectations.
- You can build trusted relationships and confidently influence, advise and constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
- Your approach combines sound judgement with the ability to translate complex obligations into practical business actions.
- You'll be comfortable working across functions and navigating competing priorities in a changing environment.
