As our Allied Health team continues to grow, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Speech Pathologist to join us as an Independent Contractor in Melbourne.
This opportunity is ideal for a Speech Pathologist looking for flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to build a rewarding caseload while partnering with a growing NDIS provider.

About the Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will work with NDIS participants across Melbourne to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services that support communication, participation and independence.
Your responsibilities will include
- Conducting comprehensive speech pathology assessments
- Developing individualised therapy plans and recommendations
- Delivering therapy for speech, language, communication and social communication needs
- Assessing and supporting participants with swallowing difficulties where appropriately qualified
- Completing Augmentative and Alternative Communication assessments and recommendations where appropriate
- Preparing high-quality NDIS reports, progress reports and supporting documentation
- Providing education and recommendations to participants, families and support teams
- Collaborating with participants, families,
Support Coordinators and other professionals
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and NDIS standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status, or eligibility to obtain it
- Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Experience working within the NDIS sector is desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for delivering person-centred services and achieving positive outcomes
Contractor Requirements
As an Independent Contractor, you will be responsible for maintaining your own skilled memberships, insurance and business requirements.
You will require
- Current Speech Pathology Australia membership
- Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status, or eligibility to obtain it
- Australian Business Number
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle
