About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard, with a focus on wood-fired pizza preparation and cooking. You will operate and manage a wood-fired oven safely and efficiently, hand-stretch pizza dough quickly and consistently during busy periods, and prepare pizzas and other menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.

Working independently and confidently, you will manage multiple orders efficiently during service, maintain consistency in portion sizes, presentation and food quality, and contribute to smooth kitchen operations during peak service.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard
- Prepare dough, sauces, toppings and other ingredients required for service
- Hand-stretch pizza dough quickly and consistently during busy periods
- Operate and manage a wood-fired oven safely and efficiently
- Monitor oven temperature and cooking times to achieve consistent results




- Prepare and cook pizzas and other menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Maintain consistency in portion sizes, presentation and food quality
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen throughout service
- Follow appropriate food storage, food safety and hygiene procedures

About you

- Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
- Demonstrated experience with wood-fired cooking
- Proven ability to work confidently with a wood-fired oven
- Strong hand-stretching pizza skills
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for kitchen operations during service
- Ability to work efficiently in a very fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Robust attention to food quality, consistency and presentation
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling practices
