Isuzu Australia

Truganina

For 37 consecutive years, we’ve been Australia’s leading truck brand, built on a foundation of reliability, innovation, and a workplace culture that consistently ranks among the best for employee engagement. Our leadership in the market is backed by decades of experience, a strong national network, and exceptional service support.

Our product range spans light to heavy duty trucks, featuring advanced engine technology and comprehensive safety systems. We proudly market, distribute, and support Isuzu Trucks and Isuzu Power Solutions across Australia.

Isuzu Australia Limited has announced the establishment of a new finance and leasing business, Isuzu Financial Services Australia. With operations scheduled to commence shortly, this initiative forms part of Isuzu’s broader strategy to strengthen its core operations and expand its product and service offering.

About The Role

Isuzu Financial Services Australia (IFSA) is looking for an experienced Credit Senior Analyst to join our Risk Management team. This is a unique opportunity to join a start up setting backed by a global brand, where you’ll play a key role in shaping operations from the ground up. We need an experienced credit professional who enjoys getting into the detail of complex applications, but also wants to contribute beyond day to day credit assessment.

Working closely with the Credit Manager, you'll assess a diverse range of commercial customers and business structures, analyse portfolio performance and help evolve our credit methodologies, underwriting practices and decision-making processes. You'll also play an important role in residual value risk management, combining internal portfolio data with broader economic and used vehicle market insights.

You will also undertake credit assessments across a range of business and ownership structures, applying both strong financial analysis and sound commercial judgement. Importantly, this isn't a role focused solely on processing applications. You'll use what you're seeing across individual credit decisions and the broader portfolio to identify trends, challenge existing approaches and recommend practical improvements to the way we assess and manage credit risk.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct commercial credit assessments in accordance with IFSA's Credit Policy,

underwriting guidelines and delegated authorities.
- Assess applications across companies, trusts, sole traders, partnerships and other business structures.
- Analyse financial statements, BAS, management accounts, bank statements, cash flow information and other supporting documentation.
- Apply quantitative analysis and qualitative judgement to assess financial capacity, business performance and credit risk.
- Monitor portfolio performance across indicators including approvals, arrears, defaults and credit overrides.
- Analyse credit outcomes and work with relevant teams to identify opportunities to strengthen underwriting criteria and decision quality.
- Research emerging credit assessment methodologies, industry trends and best practice, recommending improvements relevant to IFSA.
- Support the implementation of improvements to credit procedures, tools and operational processes.
- Analyse residual value performance using internal portfolio and disposal data.
- Research economic conditions and used vehicle market trends that may influence future residual values.
- Support periodic reviews of Residual Value tables and recommend adjustments based on portfolio performance and market analysis.

About You We're looking for someone who brings strong commercial credit experience and can combine technical financial analysis with practical judgement. You'll be comfortable assessing different business structures and understanding the story behind the numbers rather than relying solely on prescribed ratios or scorecards.

- Relevant university degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Strong experience in commercial credit assessment, underwriting, asset finance, leasing or a related financial services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse financial statements, cash flow and other financial information.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess both quantitative and qualitative credit factors.

- An analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns and insights from portfolio and credit performance data.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to communicate credit recommendations clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience within asset finance, commercial vehicle finance, equipment finance or automotive financial services would be an advantage. Why join Isuzu?
