My client is a Brisbane based distributor, purpose-built for operational environments—power, water, transport, resources, and infrastructure company, headquartered in Murarrie. Based in Murarrie, and reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team and contributing to the day-to-day management of customer accounts, providing timely communication, accurate information and responsive customer support that helps the team deliver on its sales targets. In collaboration with the external sales resources, they bring in customers and sales by providing timely and accurate data and quotes, and act as the first point of call for incoming customer queries. It’s a combination of administration and customer service, with a strong focus on supporting sales operations.

Key duties will include:

Customer Service and Sales

- Be the first point of contact for sales and general incoming phone calls regarding stock deliveries, order fulfilments, lead times etc.




- Enhance customer value through the management of customer complaints
- Proactively collaborate with External Sales Staff to answer quote and case queries and provide general sales support with opportunities. (Tenders, creating proposals, offering technical solutions and assisting external representatives with project opportunities and during periods of absence within the team.)
- Build trusted relationships with customers and suppliers
- Actively support the day-to-day management of customer accounts by providing order updates, lead times, follow-up communication and other routine customer requirements.
- Working alongside the BDM to provide a seamless customer experience.

Operations and Documentation

- Ensure data captured in the CRM (Salesforce) for support tickets is of quality and is updated within 24 hours.
- Provide reliable and timely activity information through planning, reporting, monitoring and analysis of support tickets as and when required.

Ideally you will have the following work experience, skills, and personal qualities:

- Experience within a customer service position
- Ability to effectively interface with customers in order to manage customer complaints
- Competent CRM user with hands-on experience. SalesForce is great but others will also be suitable.
- An understanding of the communication and networking industry and an understanding of the technical application of products within this market.
- Ability to prioritise.
- A team player
- Excellent telephone technique complimented with exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and a desire to ensure the accuracy of data
- Strong IT skills with a high attention to detail and demonstrated computer literacy and software skills to complete required tasks (Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM (SalesForce or similar)

Desirable

- Experience with CISCO, MOXA, Rajant, and Bosch would be advantageous
- Technology (hardware) distribution experience.
