Gymnastics Townsville is a community based not-for-profit sporting club with more than 600 members. With more than 25 years history, Gymnastics Townsville is the largest gymnastics club in Townsville with a fully equipped air-conditioned gymnastics training facility. The club caters for participants aged from crawlers to adults through a range of recreational and competitive gymnastics programs.

About the role.

Gymnastics Townsville is looking for a caring and efficient customer service officer to man the front desk on weekday mornings 8.00am-11.30am, afternoons between 2pm and 6pm, and Saturday mornings between 8.00am and 1.00pm during Qld School terms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing face to face assistance to our Gymnasts and their parents, enrolling children in classes, taking fees and answering the phones and responding to emails.

Qualifications & experience

- Robust customer service ethic.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office,



and internet browsers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to participate in and contribute to a high performing team environment.
- The ability to recognise and understand customer needs and to fulfil customer expectations.
- The ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with difficult customers.
- Positive attitude.

Tasks & responsibilities

- Undertake telephone reception duties and take messages where required for other staff.
- Assist the Club Administrator to prepare, maintain and distribute membership packs for new and prospective customers.
- Maintain membership and class attendance details within the Class Management System.
- Ensure that the customer entryway is clean, unobstructed, and well presented at all times.
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Other clerical duties as required.
