You’re someone who wants to create outcomes that have a real impact on the people of NSW.
You're all about the detail and this role will allow you to drive evidence-based decision making to optimise systems and efficiency, not just for the business but for our customers too. It's data and research with impact you can see.
In this role, you'll:
- be working as part of a team delivering data and innovation projects that help the Active Transport, Design and Activation Branch deliver stronger outcomes for our communities using technology solutions, and data insights.
Work with stakeholders to identify and define complex problems, translate emerging needs and opportunities into innovative projects, and navigate uncertainty to deliver practical outcomes through research, testing, iteration and collaboration.
This is not a traditional data analyst role; success requires curiosity, adaptability, strong stakeholder engagement and comfort working through ambiguity to find solutions.
- coordinate and manage projects in collaboration with others in Transport to secure new data for the branch, apply data insights and new technologies, quantify benefits, pilot and evaluate emerging approaches, and integrate innovation into organisational practice.
- lead innovation and data driven initiatives that embed new approaches and improve outcomes in a complex, fast paced setting with varied capability, competing priorities and team-oriented partnerships.

You are recognised as a future-focused and collaborative professional with experience delivering innovation, technology or data-enabled projects, leading workstreams, managing stakeholders and translating insights into action.
Experience in active transport, e-micromobility, placemaking, vibrancy, urban design or related policy environments will be highly regarded.
