About the Role

We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. No prior experience is required. We'll provide full on-the-job training, so this is an ideal opportunity for university students looking for flexible work that fits around their studies, particularly those interested in dentistry, health sciences, or any patient-facing career.

With shifts ranging from a minimum of 4 hours up to 28 hours per week, we'll work with you to build a roster that suits your timetable, including adjusting during exam periods.

Availability on Wednesdays and Fridays is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, cleans, and treatments
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms before each appointment
- Clean, sterilise, and maintain instruments and equipment in line with infection control standards
- Greet patients warmly and help them feel comfortable and at ease
- Support reception duties when needed, including answering phones, booking appointments, and processing payments
- Help maintain stock levels and keep the clinic tidy and organised
- Update patient records accurately and confidentially





What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
- Reliability and punctuality
- Attention to detail, especially around hygiene and cleanliness
- The ability to stay calm and work well in a team
- Fluency in English (additional languages such as Mandarin or Cantonese are highly regarded)
- Current Australian work rights
