Your new role An opportunity is available for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop servicing heavy vehicles and transport equipment throughout the Leongatha region.

This is a hands-on role offering a mix of workshop and field service work, attending both scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdowns on the road and at customer sites, including farms.

Key responsibilities include

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and diesel-powered equipment
- Fault-finding, diagnostics and repair work
- Attending breakdowns across regional areas and customer sites
- Conducting preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Delivering high-quality customer service
- Participating in a shared 24/7 on-call roster, approximately once per month





Rotating shifts include:
- 5:00am to 1:00pm
- 7:00am to 3:00pm
- 10:00pm to 6:00am (on call-outs for the week)

This role offers significant overtime opportunities, with mechanics regularly working 10-12 hour days. What you'll need to succeed
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or similar
- Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks and diesel equipment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and manage breakdown situations
- Current driving licence
- Commitment to safety
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and participate in an on-call roster
