Civil Roller Operator / Labourer – Rochedale

$40–$45/hr + penalties | 6+ months | Genuine opportunity to continue longer term

We're looking for a good all-round Civil Operator / Labourer to join a civil crew on a project at Rochedale.

n

This isn't a role for someone who only wants to sit in a machine all day.
n We're looking for someone who has worked with smaller civil crews or subcontractors, where everyone wears a few hats and gets stuck in wherever they're needed.

n

The role There will be some operating, particularly smaller pavement rollers, mixed with general civil labouring and helping the crew get the job done.

n

The project has at least 6 months of work remaining, but for the right person there is a genuine prospect to stay with the supervisor and continue onto future projects.

n

They're not in a huge rush to fill the position. They would rather wait and find someone good who they can take along for the ride longer term.

What we're looking for

- Civil construction experience
n
- Experience operating rollers or similar civil plant
n
- Happy to get off the machine and work on the ground
n
- Comfortable working in a smaller crew
n
- Someone who can look around, see what needs doing and get into it
n
- Reliable and easy to work with
n
- Willing to have a crack and see things that need to be done before asking
n
- Roller ticket / relevant plant tickets preferred
n
- Construction White Card
n

Pay $40–$45 per hour + penalties, depending on experience and what you can bring to the crew.

n

This could really suit someone who has spent time working for smaller civil contractors and enjoys being an all-rounder rather than being boxed into one job.
