Through the national body's affiliation with FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations), we look after everything football in Victoria including:

- Semi-professional ranks;

- Volunteers.

FV is a not-for-profit sporting organisation run by a Board of Directors, elected by football stakeholders made up of Clubs. We reinvest revenue generated by the game in a financially prudent manner, prioritising in providing more coaching, education, facilities, support and participation opportunities to the community and our partners back to where it is needed most.

We currently employ over 80 staff to deliver on the FV Strategic Plan (“OurFootball”) and administration of weekly football matches, producing annual football fixtures and appropriate rules of competition. Referees are also appointed to these matches to facilitate a safer and more enjoyable participation experience.

We also deliver education and resources to talented players, coaches, referees, and club volunteers while promoting the game through various channels, keeping our members informed regularly through a dedicated communications program.

FV has a clearly articulated strategic priority to reach 50:50 participation across all aspects of our game by 2027 and stand united as an organisation to ensure it is central to all our decision making.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Coordinator – Disability Inclusion, supports the delivery of Football Victoria’s disability inclusion initiatives, with a key focus on building inclusive workforce, volunteering and leadership opportunities across regional football. While the position will primarily focus its efforts on building regional capacity for disability inclusion,



there will also be opportunities to contribute to disability inclusion initiatives, resources and systems that are applicable across football throughout Victoria. The role works closely with FV staff, Regional Advisory Panels, community football clubs, people with lived experience and disability-sector partners to build capability, support co-design and develop practical approaches that remove barriers for people with disability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Coordination & Delivery

- Coordinate the planning and delivery of disability inclusion projects, activities and initiatives across FV’s regional football network.
- Coordinate disability inclusion workshops, education sessions, co-design activities and club implementation support.
- Work closely with Regional Development Coordinators and other FV staff to coordinate project activities and support delivery within regions.
- Maintain project plans, timelines and activity schedules and ensure key deliverables are progressed within agreed timeframes.

Club & Regional Capacity Building

- Support Regional Advisory Panels, clubs and volunteers to build their knowledge, confidence and capability in disability inclusion.
- Provide practical support to clubs to identify and address barriers to employment, volunteering, governance and leadership for people with disability.
- Develop practical disability inclusion tools, resources and guidance for FV staff and community football clubs.
- Support clubs and regional stakeholders to implement sustainable disability inclusion practices within their existing structures and processes.

Lived Experience, Community & Stakeholder Engagement

- Coordinate the involvement of Community Champions and other people with lived experience in project planning, co-design, delivery and evaluation.
- Coordinate communication and engagement with disability-sector organisations, community partners, clubs and other project stakeholders.
- Work with project partners and subject-matter experts to ensure activities and resources are accessible and informed by good practice.
- Support connections between football clubs, people with disability and disability and community organisations.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of project activities, participation, stakeholder engagement and outcomes.
- Collect feedback, data and lived experience insights to support project monitoring and evaluation.
- Prepare project updates, data summaries and reports for the Manager – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion as required.




- Assist with grant reporting, acquittals and funding compliance, and document project learnings to support the ongoing delivery of disability inclusion initiatives across FV.

SELECTION CRITERIA

- A valid Working with Children’s Check
- Tertiary qualification in disability, community development, sport management, social sciences or a relevant discipline is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in disability inclusion, community development, capacity building or the delivery of inclusion-focused programs and projects.
- Sound knowledge of disability inclusion and accessibility, including an understanding of barriers to employment, volunteering, leadership and community participation.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and engage effectively with people with disability, community organisations, sporting clubs and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Demonstrated facilitation skills, with the ability to support workshops, education and co-design activities in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Lived experience of disability is highly regarded.
- A sound understanding of community sport and/or football environments is desirable.
- Ability to undertake domestic travel in the delivery of duties and work unique hours inclusive of weekend and evening work as required.

This position requires non-traditional hours and weekend work. Travel is primarily local during business days; some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. It is acknowledged that all Football Victoria employees demonstrate a flexible approach and that from time to time during peak periods will assist across departments to achieve the overall strategic objectives of the organisation.
