About the role

Favour and Care DSP is seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team in Werribee, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support services to individuals with varying disabilities, helping them to achieve greater independence, social inclusion, and quality of life.

This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering person-centered support that empowers our clients to live fulfilling lives within their communities.

Key responsibilities

- Providing direct personal care and support to clients with disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Supporting clients to participate in community activities, social outings, and recreational pursuits that promote inclusion and wellbeing
- Assisting clients with life skills development, including budgeting, shopping, cooking, and other practical tasks that enhance independence
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of client support sessions and any observations or concerns
- Building positive relationships with clients based on trust, respect, and understanding of their individual needs and goals
- Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated and consistent support
- Following established policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing and protection of clients
- Respecting client confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries in all interactions




- Supporting clients to advocate for themselves and participate in decisions about their own care and support

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to person-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Physical capability to provide hands-on support and assist clients with mobility and personal care as required
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to manage a flexible casual schedule
- A current and valid Working with Children Check (WWC) or willingness to obtain one
- A current and valid disability services worker clearance (NDIS check) or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a supportive, collaborative environment
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills to respond appropriately to client needs and unexpected situations
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards
- Relevant qualifications or experience in aged and disability support are preferred, including Certificate III or higher in Disability Support, Aged Care, or related field
- A current First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous
