This role is suited to someone who is confident supporting a participant with psychosocial disability, can work within established support and behaviour strategies, and is comfortable supporting a participant with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide respectful, person-centred support to an NDIS participant with psychosocial disability in the home and community.

- Support the participant to build independence, daily living skills, routine, and community participation in line with their goals and support plan.

- Implement documented behaviour support strategies consistently and safely, in line with the participant's behaviour support plan and provider procedures.

- Monitor the participant's wellbeing, presentation, risks, and changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns, incidents, or emerging risks through the organisation's reporting pathways.

- Experience supporting participants with high-support or high-intensity needs,

while staying within scope and following training, care plans, and escalation pathways. Under the NDIS Practice Standards, providers supporting participants who rely on high intensity daily personal activities must ensure workers have the required skills and knowledge.

- Current First Aid and CPR.

- Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct, including the requirement to provide supports safely, competently, and with care and skill, and to respect participant privacy.

- Current driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel locally for community access support.

- Right to work in Australia.

Preferred Skills

- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability and complex behaviours in community settings.

- Robust skills in de-escalation, professional boundaries, reflective practice, and recovery-oriented support.

- Experience working alongside behaviour support practitioners, nurses, allied health teams, support coordinators, or recovery-oriented services.
