About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dog Adventure Leader to join our team on a full-time basis across the Eastern Suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your love for dogs with outdoor adventure activities in one of Sydney's most beautiful areas. As a Dog Adventure Leader, you will be at the heart of our operations, leading guided adventures and experiences that showcase the best of what dogs can enjoy whilst maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and safety.

This role is crucial to delivering our core mission of creating enriching, secure, and memorable experiences for dogs and their owners.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and facilitate group dog adventures and outdoor activities in and around the Eastern Suburbs, ensuring all participants have engaging and safe experiences
- Assess individual dogs' temperaments, fitness levels, and behavioural needs before and during activities to ensure appropriate activity selection
- Monitor dogs' health and wellbeing during adventures, identifying signs of stress, fatigue, or illness and taking appropriate action
- Build positive relationships with dogs and owners, creating a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere

What we're looking for





- Demonstrated knowledge of canine behaviour, body language, and individual dog temperaments and needs
- Strong understanding of animal welfare principles and a genuine commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of all dogs in your care
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with both dogs and their owners
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations involving animals
- Current First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it) is highly desirable
- Experience or knowledge of basic animal health and recognising signs of illness or distress
- A valid driver's licence
- Enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for creating positive experiences for dogs and their owners
- Ability to work independently whilst also being a collaborative team member
