We are currently seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to join our team based at our Brisbane (Darra) Depot. Some intrastate travel will be required from time to time.

Reporting to the Brisbane based Human Resources Manager and working closely with both the Brisbane based Training Officer and Recruitment Officers, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in training and assessing both drivers and forklift operators.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate and conduct driver pre-qualification assessments, inductions and training requirements for new team members plus annual retraining requirements for existing team members
- Coordinating onboarding requirements for a large volume applicant database across multiple business locations




- Conduct training and coaching of Heavy Vehicle Drivers including operating within safe work procedures and refresher training
- Facilitation and design of all required training including legislative training (Manual Handling etc).
- Support Management in assuring Driver and forklift compliance within Government Legislation and Regulations, HVNL, Workplace Health and Safety and other Legal requirements
- Driving a culture of safety and efficiency in the workplace

The successful candidate's skills and experience will include:

- Extensive experience in Transport, or similar Industry with strong Operational background
- Current MC Licence and a minimum of 5 years interstate linehaul driving experience;
- Current LF Forklift licence
- TLIF0005 - Apply Basic Fatigue Management Strategies
- TLIF0006 - Administer Basic Fatigue Management Strategies
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferrable);
- Energetic and self-motivated with a strong work ethic;
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential;
- Confident with excellent verbal and written communication skills
