Due to expected growth within our Dry Vac X operations, we are looking for an experienced Dry Vacuum Operator to join the team.

The Role

This is a specialist dry vacuum excavation role operating our RSP unit - it is not a general liquid vacuum, waste collection or jetting position. We are specifically looking for someone with previous experience operating dry vacuum excavation equipment.

The role will be predominantly Perth metro-based, working across various civil, infrastructure and utilities projects.

You must be comfortable working independently and be competent and confident carrying out dry vacuum excavation around underground services. You will manage jobs across different sites, deal directly with clients and site teams, and take responsibility for safely planning and completing each job, as well as the secure operation and care of the truck.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate an RSP dry vacuum excavation truck safely and efficiently
- Complete dry excavation and non-destructive digging around underground services
- Assess each job and plan the safest and most effective approach
- Work confidently around services and on active construction sites
- Communicate directly with clients,



supervisors and site teams
- Complete daily inspections and basic maintenance of the truck and equipment
- Keep the unit clean, maintained and ready for work
- Complete relevant pre-starts, permits and job documentation
- Liaise directly with clients and site teams as the face of Dry Vac X, providing a professional and reliable service on every job

About You To be considered, you must have:

- Previous experience operating a dry vacuum excavation truck
- A current HR driver’s licence
- The ability and confidence to work independently
- Experience working safely around underground services
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
- Construction White Card
- Full Australian working rights
- A reliable, safety-focused and self-motivated approach

Experience operating RSP units will be highly regarded. Please note that experience operating liquid vacuum trucks, jetting units or waste trucks alone will not be sufficient for this role.
