About the Role

Thirroul Preschool Centre & Montessori School is seeking a committed, enthusiastic and fun Early Childhood Educator to join our friendly and supportive team.

We welcome applications from Certificate III and Diploma-qualified educators, as well as Certificate III educators interested in further developing their qualifications and working towards a Diploma.

This position is offered on a fulltime basis

What You'll Be Doing:

- Implement engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, inclusive and stimulating workplace where children feel secure, respected and valued.
- Observe, document and contribute to the assessment of children's learning, development and individual interests.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children and support their participation, voice and agency.
- Work collaboratively with families to support the individual needs, development and wellbeing of each child.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team of educators.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing learning.
- Maintain active supervision and contribute to a solid culture of child safety.
- Follow the Centre's policies, procedures, Code of Conduct and child-safe practices.
- Comply with the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For: We are looking for an educator who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and genuinely enjoys working with young children.

Essential Criteria:

- A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an approved equivalent qualification.
- A current Working with Children Check.




- Current First Aid/CPR qualifications relevant to early childhood education and care, or willingness to obtain/update these as required.
- Completed mandatory National Child Safety Training
- Completed approved Child Protection training (CHCPRT025)

Applicants should have:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build warm, respectful and qualified relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- An understanding of child protection responsibilities and professional boundaries when working with children.
- A commitment to children's rights, safety, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Availability to work rostered shifts between 7:30am and 6:00pm.

We provide both play-based and Montessori early childhood education programs and are committed to providing high-quality learning experiences within a warm, inclusive and welcoming community.
