Expression of Interest –2027 Early Childhood Teacher

Wingate Avenue Children’s Co-op is seeking expressions of interest from passionate and committed Early Childhood Teachers to join our community-focused, not-for-profit early learning service.

At Wingate, we believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, heard and connected. Our practice is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, with a strong focus on relationships, children’s voices, curiosity, exploration and viewing children as capable and active participants in their learning.

We are looking for an ECT who:

- Holds a recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification and current VIT registration
- Is passionate about children’s learning, wellbeing and development
- Places child safety, wellbeing and protection at the heart of their practice
- Understands their responsibilities as a child-protected professional and is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for every child
- Is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and values children as capable, curious and competent learners




- Values relationships, connection and a strong sense of community
- Is committed to reflective practice and ongoing professional growth
- Enjoys workingcollaboratively with educators, children and families Is inspired by play-based, child-led and inquiry-based learning
- Brings a positive attitude, warmth and a willingness to contribute to our team
