My client, an established Electrical Contractor with a strong reputation across the Melbourne commercial fit out and refurbishment market has asked me to assist them in securing the services of an experienced project manager to grow their existing team due to continued wins and a healthy pipeline of work.

This is a hands-on project management position suited to someone who enjoys working closely with clients, consultants, builders and site teams to deliver quality projects in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of commercial fit out and refurbishment projects, managing the electrical package across:

- Project planning, programming and delivery
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Project budgets, cost control and financial reporting
- Variations, progress claims and monthly forecasting
- Managing RFIs, design coordination and technical queries
- Liaising with builders, consultants, clients and key stakeholders
- Coordinating site teams, trades and subcontractors
- Ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality requirements
- Managing project documentation, QA and HSEQ requirements
- Identifying and managing project risks
- Supporting handover, defects and project close-out

The ideal candidate will be an experienced (3 years)



Electrical Project Manager with a background in commercial electrical contracting. You will ideally have:
- 3 years’ experience managing electrical projects in Australia
- A strong understanding of commercial electrical construction
- Experience working within fit out, refurbishment or commercial construction
- Proven ability to manage projects from commencement through to completion
- Strong commercial and financial management skills
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Excellent communication and management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment & think on your feet.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to project delivery

An electrical trade qualification and/or relevant engineering or construction qualification will be highly regarded. Offering
