Wiluna Mining Corporation is seeking two experienced Emergency Services Officer/Safety Advisors to join our HSET team at the Wiluna Mining Operation.

These are wide-ranging, site-based roles with a strong focus on providing practical health and safety support across the operation. You will work alongside managers, supervisors, employees and contractors to identify risks, strengthen safety practices and ensure agreed actions are followed through.

You will also support the site’s emergency preparedness, including the capability and development of the Emergency Response Team.

What you’ll be doing

You will be visible in the field, providing straightforward and practical safety advice to operational teams. Your work will include inspections, risk assessments, critical-control reviews, incident investigations and monitoring corrective actions through to completion.

You will contribute to safety meetings, toolbox talks and workforce consultation, while supporting the development and continuous improvement of site safety systems, procedures and standards.

You will also help maintain site emergency response readiness by supporting ERT training, coordinating emergency exercises and ensuring emergency response equipment and resources are ready when required.

The role includes providing emergency medical response within your qualifications and scope of practice,



maintaining the site medical centre and conducting routine drug and alcohol testing.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone who is practical, approachable and comfortable working directly with operational teams. You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels, work independently and remain calm when priorities change or an emergency arises.

To be considered, you will need:

- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

- Certificate IV in Health Care

- Provide First Aid (current within 3 years)

- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue or Certificate III in Public Safety

- Current BG4 qualification

- Current competency in drug and alcohol specimen collection

- Current Australian driver’s licence

- At least three years’ relevant experience in mining or heavy industry

- Practical safety experience, including undertaking inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations

- Experience supporting site emergency response activities and an Emergency Response Team
- A current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one

Underground mining experience, ICAM or equivalent investigation training, and Advanced Life Support qualifications will be highly regarded.
