Presenting nearly 50 years’ experience in skilling solutions and services to employers and businesses, job seekers and students, through apprenticeship support services, employment, education support programs, and vocational training.
About the Role…
The purpose of this role is to provide short-term Employment Consultant coverage where additional operational capacity is required. The position supports participant engagement, appointment delivery, re-engagement activity, referral to education, training, community and employment opportunities, and accurate participant record management. Unlike a standard Employment Consultant role, this position does not hold an ongoing caseload; instead, it is deployed to support local teams and participants where business need is greatest.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide short-term Employment Consultant coverage across nominated Transition to Work sites and regions in response to staff absenteeism, vacancies, workload pressure or other operational requirements.
- Manage participant appointments, daily servicing activity and follow-up actions in line with program expectations and local site priorities.
- Complete outbound contact, engagement calls and re-engagement activity to support participant attendance, participation and continued connection with the program.
- Refer participants to suitable activities, education, training, community supports, employment opportunities and pathway options that align with their individual goals and Job Plan requirements.
- Support young people with job search, resume development, interview preparation, work readiness and employment pathway planning.
- Follow up employer vacancies,
placement leads and local employment opportunities in partnership with site teams and employer-facing staff.
- Update Job Plans, appointment outcomes, case notes and participant records accurately, professionally and within required timeframes.
- Work collaboratively with local site teams to minimise disruption to service delivery and maintain consistent participant servicing during periods of operational pressure.
- Contribute to participant engagement, placement identification, education and training referrals, and broader Transition to Work performance outcomes.
This role full-time fixed term until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role may involve working from home and/or attending sites depending on operational requirements, location and proximity to BUSY At Work sites. The position requires flexibility to travel locally or regionally where business need requires.

A bit about you...
The successful candidate will be adaptable, organised and confident working in a fast-paced frontline service environment.
They will be able to quickly build rapport with young people, understand local site workflows, manage competing priorities and provide practical support that keeps participant servicing on track.
- Experience in employment services, youth services, recruitment, education, training, community services or a related service delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of participant servicing, appointment management, engagement and re-engagement activity.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly across different sites, teams and operational priorities.
- High-level administration, time management and organisational skills.
- Solid communication, rapport-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confidence supporting young people with employment readiness, applications, interviews and pathway planning.
- Strong compliance focus, including accurate case noting, quality record keeping and timely completion of required documentation.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team while maintaining service consistency and professional standards.
- Flexibility to travel and work across multiple sites or regions as required.
