Where you'll be working

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital’s Cardiology, Coronary Care and Respiratory ward is a 24-bed service with an 8 bed CCU. The ward caters for acute Medical, Cardiology and Respiratory patients that require close and cardiac monitoring. The department offers supported learning and professional development with a rotating roster including weekends and night shifts.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Enrolled Nurse applicant you will be working in a busy ward environment, caring for Adult patients with a wide spectrum of Medical,



Cardiac and Respiratory presentations. You will be working within an amazing team of health professionals, all working as a multi disciplinary team to provide the best health care for our community.

The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within skilled role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. In the delivery of nursing care the Enrolled Nurse will work under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills.
