About the role

Working alongside experienced Mechanical Engineers, Estimators and Project Managers, you will gain practical exposure to the engineering, estimating and delivery of commercial HVAC and mechanical services projects. You will be supported by experienced team members while developing your knowledge of HVAC systems, engineering calculations, estimating, tendering, design and project delivery. The role will provide exposure to projects from the tender and design stages through to construction and completion.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with engineering calculations to support HVAC system design
- Assisting with HVAC load calculations and equipment selection
- Reviewing project plans and specifications and identifying relevant technical requirements
- Assisting with the preparation and review of tender submissions and quotations
- Reviewing project documentation and providing technical comments and recommendations
- Interpreting engineering and technical information and applying it to practical projects
- Assisting with engineering requirements across Design & Construct projects
- Preparing information and mark-ups for drafting and engineering drawings
- Reviewing workshop and fabrication drawings




- Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical information and pricing

About you

- A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree, or be nearing completion of your degree
- An interest in HVAC, mechanical services and the construction industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Positive attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A practical and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to manage priorities and work across multiple projects
