About Terra Verde:

Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C;) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.

The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.

Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.

This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.

About the Opportunity:

The Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives for the SRL project. This role involves implementing environmental management plans, conducting assessments, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to promote environmentally responsible practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement environmental management plans in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess adherence to environmental policies.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare reports for project activities.
- Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, and project teams regarding environmental issues.




- Facilitate community consultation processes and respond to environmental inquiries.
- Develop and deliver training programs on environmental policies and best practices for project staff.
- Promote a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility within the project team.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation to relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate records of environmental assessments, incidents, and compliance activities.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable practices and resource conservation.
- Support the integration of sustainability goals into project planning and execution.

Key Requirements:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of BIM management and documentation.
