As our Events Manager, you will lead the planning of luxury events within Australia's leading luxury hotel. You will be a trusted advisor to our guests and clients, transforming their vision into extraordinary experiences while driving commercial success.

About The Role:

- Lead and manage large-scale catering, social and corporate event opportunities, maximising revenue and profitability while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Develop bespoke event proposals, presentations and contracts that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of each client.
- Build meaningful relationships with new and existing clients, positioning The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne as the venue of choice for Melbourne's most prestigious events.
- Conduct inspiring site inspections, client entertainment and showcase experiences that convert opportunities into confirmed business.
- Oversee the end-to-end event journey, ensuring every detail is executed seamlessly and with the highest level of luxury service.
- Drive guest loyalty and repeat business by creating memorable experiences that exceed expectations at every touchpoint.
- Collaborate closely with hotel departments to deliver flawless event execution while maintaining operational excellence.
- Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing Catering Sales & Events team through empowerment, mentorship and recognition.
- Champion a culture of engagement by supporting associate development and team-building initiatives.




- Lead negotiations and confidently secure business through strategic selling and effective relationship management.
- Act as an ambassador of The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards, consistently bringing our legendary service philosophy to life.

Our Ideal Candidate:

- Proven experience in a leadership role within luxury hospitality, events, catering sales or conference and events management.
- A track record of exceeding revenue targets and converting business opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Solid commercial acumen and confidence in negotiation and contract management.
- A passion for delivering extraordinary guest experiences with an eye for detail.
- The ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the agility to excel in a fast-paced environment.
