About the role
As an Estimator, you'll help develop cost estimates and proposals that support critical sustainment activities and future opportunities across ASC's Multi Class Sustainment Program. Working with technical experts, project stakeholders and customers, you'll transform complex scopes of work into accurate, well-supported estimates that inform business decisions and customer submissions.

What you'll be doing
- Review and analyse customer scopes of work and technical requirements
- Develop logical work breakdown structures (WBS) to support estimate development
- Engage with engineering teams, subject matter experts and business stakeholders to gather inputs
- Prepare labour and cost estimates using established estimating methodologies
- Develop quotations,
basis of estimate documentation and proposal submissions
- Support risk identification and contingency development
- Perform cost analysis and investigate estimate queries
- Maintain estimating records, reports and supporting documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
- Support discussions and responses to customer questions throughout the proposal lifecycle
About you You enjoy working with data, solving problems and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes. You're analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working through complex information to develop practical recommendations.
You'll also bring
- At least 2 years' experience in estimating or a related discipline
- Experience reviewing and interpreting scopes of work
- Understanding of estimating principles, methodologies and processes
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capability
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- A positive attitude and genuine interest in developing a career in estimating
Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
