About the role

Design Tiles Commercial Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator & Contracts Administrator to join our team in Rockdale, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our operations, bridging the gap between our commercial vision and project execution. As Estimator & Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing contract documentation, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

This role is integral to our success, directly impacting project profitability and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for tile and construction projects based on specifications, drawings and site requirements
- Analysing material costs, labour costs and overheads to develop competitive and profitable quotations
- Managing contract documentation, including review, preparation and amendment of terms and conditions
- Preparing and submitting monthly progress claims via Procore, PayApps and builder portals, in line with contract and Security of Payment requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of contracts, variations and change orders throughout project lifecycles
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and quotes
- Reviewing project specifications and ensuring all contractual obligations are clearly understood and communicated
- Monitoring contract performance and tracking variations to ensure projects remain within budgeted costs
- Preparing reports on project costs, budget variances and contract status for management review
- Leading, managing and mentoring the Junior Estimator, including reviewing take-offs, pricing and quote accuracy

About you

- Proven experience of 4+ years working as an estimator in construction, particularly within tile or materials supply industries
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices,



methodologies and cost analysis techniques
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, terms and conditions, and contract administration principles
- Proficiency with estimating software– Estimate One (for tender sourcing), plus Cubit or CostX and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of building codes, standards and compliance requirements in the construction industry
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
