About the role To prepare accurate, commercially competitive and professionally presented cost plans, budgets, tenders and submissions that contribute to Formula Interiors' growth, profitability and tender conversion success. The Estimator plays a key role within the pre-construction team by identifying project risks and opportunities, engaging with clients, consultants and subcontractors, and providing commercial input throughout the tender, D&C; and ECI process. The role is expected to contribute to continuous improvement of estimating systems, processes, market intelligence and conversion performance across the business.

Key responsibilities

- Review tender documentation including drawings, specifications and consultant reports
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates, BOQs and tender submissions
- Coordinate and manage the complete tender process from enquiry through to submission
- Develop tender programmes and procurement strategies where required
- Identify scope gaps, ambiguities, exclusions, risks and opportunities within project documentation
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Obtain competitive pricing and ensure appropriate trade coverage is achieved
- Participate in client meetings, tender interviews and project presentations




- Prepare budgets, cost plans and feasibility estimates for Design & Construct and ECI services
- Maintain estimating databases, benchmark rates and historical project information

About you

- Minimum 5 years estimating experience within commercial construction
- Demonstrated experience delivering commercial fitout and refurbishment tenders
- Experience across Lump Sum, Design & Construct (D&C;) and ECI projects
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Sound commercial acumen and risk assessment capability
- Proven ability to interpret drawings, specifications and consultant documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Advanced Buildsoft experience and experience using EstimateOne and relevant procurement platforms
