St Leonards

About the role

You'll own the hospital activation program for Healthcare Home Loans: managing the calendar, booking sites, running activations, engaging leads and building the team as the program grows.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be on site at hospitals from 10am to 4pm running activations yourself, with documentation, follow-up calls and planning happening around that. Real flexibility and real autonomy, and a demanding job. We don't count hours, we look at what got delivered.

Key responsibilities

- Own the activation calendar: which sites we're at, when, and getting them booked
- Manage bookings and the relationships with hospital contacts and facilities teams
- Load the car, drive out, set up before 10, run the day, pack down from 4
- Manage the gear, stock, collateral and activation budget so you're never short at a site
- Start conversations with nurses, doctors, midwives and support staff who weren't expecting you, and know when not to interrupt
- Log everything properly the same day
- Follow people up, book them in with a broker, and make sure they turn up
- Work with the founders and marketing on what we're trying to achieve each quarter
- Brief, roster, train and be accountable for junior people on the road as the program grows

About you

- You've run a program of your own before: a mobile service, an events calendar, an activation territory, a community engagement program. Something where you held the schedule, the logistics and the budget, and where it was your problem when it went wrong. Roughly three to six years of that
- Organised enough to hold twelve moving parts without dropping one
- Able to stay friendly on a day where most people walk past
- Able to read a hospital correctly and know when to leave people alone
- The person who makes the fourth call to get a client to a meeting

- A driver licence and your own car, registered and comprehensively insured
- Able to lift and set up tables, banners and boxes of stock
- Willing to get through hospital site inductions
- Available for the occasional evening or weekend event, with notice and time back
- The right to work in Australia

You don't need lending or finance experience. We'd rather teach that than teach someone how to run a program or hold a conversation on a ward. A hospital background helps and isn't essential. This tends to suit people who've run mobile clinics, blood donation drives, vaccination hubs or screening services. Or managed the events and campaign calendar for a hospital foundation or health charity. Or run activations and roadshows elsewhere and want one program of their own.

Who it won't suit

If you want to work from a desk and be handed leads, this isn't it. If your strength is closing hard, it won't work here either: hospitals are workplaces and we're guests in them. If paperwork feels like someone else's job, you'll struggle with the part we care most about. And if you read flexibility as a lighter workload, we're not the right fit.

One thing to be upfront about: this role isn't a path into mortgage broking. Some of the juniors you build will move into lending roles with us over time, and that's the point of the pipeline you'll be creating, but it isn't what this job is.

About us

We're a mortgage brokerage that works only with healthcare professionals, and we work where they work: hospital foyers, staff rooms, orientation days and awards nights across Sydney.

We're a small team that moves quickly and holds a high bar. Everyone here owns their patch properly and is trusted to run it without being micro-managed day to day. That trust is the whole deal.

You'd be our first activations hire, and the plan is for you to build the function rather than fill a role. The role grows from running a calendar to running a team, a budget and a territory, and the criteria for that step are written down rather than vague.

What we're paying

$85,000 to $95,000 plus super, plus a $10,000 car allowance for driving across Sydney. On top of that you earn commission on every qualified lead you bring in, plus a quarterly bonus tied to how the program runs: sites delivered, database built, records clean, budget held.

At target that's around $16,000 a year, taking the package to roughly $123,000 to $134,000 including super. It's paid against a written standard so you always know exactly what counts and what doesn't, and we'll show you that standard at interview before you have to decide anything.

How to apply

Send your CV, and instead of a cover letter, send us a short video. Under five minutes, filmed on your phone, no production required. We're not assessing how polished it is.

Cover two things

Walk us through how you got to where you are now, and what you're looking for in your next role.

Then tell us about a site, venue or partner relationship that went wrong on you. What happened, what did you do about it at the time, and what did you change afterwards?

We watch every one of these and they matter more to us than the CV.
