HXC Contracting Co is looking for an experienced driller for our civil and commercial concrete sleeper retaining-wall projects across South East Queensland.

You know drilling is more than making a hole. Accurate positioning, depth and vertical control set the posting crew up for a productive day.

If you have drilled piers, foundations, piling or fence footings, your experience could fit. You do not need to have built retaining walls—we can teach you the wall-specific requirements. You bring the drilling experience, machine control and judgement.

THE ROLE

You will operate Kobelco excavators with Auger Torque equipment in a dedicated drilling role.

Your work will include

-Drilling piers to the specified position, diameter, depth and vertical tolerance.

-Following supplied set-out and raising discrepancies before drilling.

-Adjusting drilling technique to suit soil, fill and rock conditions.

-Managing spoil and access so the posting crew can follow efficiently.

-Working within service-location controls and exclusion zones.

-Completing pre-starts, greasing, basic drilling records and early fault reporting.

Must be able to able to keep pace with our posting crew. That means planning your movements and preparing the next hole,



while keeping the crew moving retaining accuracy, safety and care for the equipment.

WHAT YOU BRING

-Excavator ticket or recognised statement of attainment—required.

-Proven excavator operating competency and hydraulic auger drilling experience.

-Ability to drill accurately without constant supervision and recognise when conditions require a stop or further direction.

-Construction White Card, current driver licence and reliable transport.

-Clear communication, care for equipment and ability to travel between SEQ project locations.

Tickets and practical competency will be verified before independent operation of HXC plant.
