About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Automotive Smash Repair Estimator to join our growing panel beating and collision repair business in Malaga, Perth. This position is specifically for someone with proven experience in the Australian smash repair / collision repair industry who can confidently manage estimates from initial vehicle assessment through to insurer approval and repair.

Key responsibilities

- Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and accurately assess all visible and related damage

- Prepare detailed and accurate smash repair estimates

- Determine repair versus replacement of damaged components

- Calculate panel, paint, mechanical, parts and associated repair costs

- Prepare and submit insurance repair quotations

- Communicate and negotiate confidently with insurance assessors

- Prepare supplements and variations when additional damage is discovered

- Identify and price genuine, aftermarket and recycled parts

- Review accident photographs and prepare estimates where appropriate





- Work closely with panel beaters, painters, parts suppliers and workshop management

About you

- Previous smash repair estimating experience is essential

- Strong experience as a Smash Repair / Collision Repair Estimator

- Excellent accident damage assessment skills

- Strong knowledge of panel beating and collision repair procedures

- Experience dealing with insurers and assessors

- Solid understanding of repair times, paint times and parts pricing

- Experience with supplements and repair-authorisation negotiations

- Excellent attention to detail, computer skills and communication skills

- Experience with EstImage, Audatex/AudaNet, PartsCheck, Crashzone or similar smash-repair estimating systems will be highly regarded

- Previous hands-on experience as a Panel Beater who has progressed into estimating would also be highly regarded
