About the role

We are looking for experienced dredge operators to join our dredging operations at Ravenswood, approximately 1.5 hours south of Townsville. This is a hands-on role operating and monitoring large-scale dredging equipment and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of dredging operations. Working as part of a dedicated dredging crew, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of dredging equipment, monitoring plant and processes, and supporting the broader site team to maintain safe and productive operations.

The role operates on a 14 days on / 14 days off roster, working a combination of day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

- Operating and monitoring dredging equipment
- Monitoring pumps, pipelines and associated equipment
- Conducting equipment pre-starts and routine inspections
- Monitoring dredging operations and responding to operational requirements
- Identifying and reporting equipment faults and maintenance requirements
- Assisting with pipeline movements and dredging-related activities
- Undertaking general equipment maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping
- Monitoring operational and environmental conditions
- Maintaining operational records and reporting as required
- Working closely with the Site Supervisor and dredging crew

About you





- 5+ years demonstrated experience operating dredging equipment
- Previous experience working in a dredging, marine, mining or heavy civil environment
- Strong understanding of dredging operations and associated equipment
- Ability to safely operate and monitor equipment with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Coxswain Grade 1 NC or higher preferred
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to work day and night shifts on a 14/14 roster
- Ability to work safely in a remote site environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
