Your first step into the real world of fashion

Dream of becoming a fashion designer—or starting your own brand one day? At Magnolia Lounge, you can learn what it takes to bring a product from a creative idea to a customer’s doorstep.

We are an Australian sleepwear and lifestyle brand, designed by women for women. Our small team creates thoughtfully designed sleepwear in soft, natural fabrics to help women feel comfortable and sleep better every day. We have big ambitions, and we would love someone curious, creative and willing to get involved to grow with us.

This is a paid role with part-time hours, initially around two to three days per week. The number of days may vary depending on how busy we are, with your roster discussed in advance.

Make a real contribution

You won’t be watching from the sidelines. Your priority work will be helping us present our products beautifully online and helping our day-to-day warehouse operations run smoothly.

Create content customers can connect with

- Retouch product and lifestyle photos using Photoshop, with or without AI tools
- Correct colour, refine backgrounds, crop images and prepare photos for different online platforms
- Make sure edited photos remain a true representation of the product
- Create enhanced product-page content, including image layouts, graphics and explicit explanations of fabrics, fit and garment features
- Help improve the visual presentation of our website and online shopfronts
- Assist with social media graphics and other digital content

Learn the business from the warehouse floor Warehouse work is a substantial part of this role, particularly when you first join us. You will:

- Organise, fold, label and check garments and samples
- Pick, pack and prepare customer and wholesale orders for dispatch
- Assist with stocktakes,



inventory checks and quality checks
- Keep stock and sample areas organised
- Help with the practical tasks that ensure the right products reach our customers

As you develop in the role, you’ll also have opportunities to learn about garment sketches, prints, fabrics, specifications, trims and product development. You’ll see how the creative and operational sides of a fashion business fit together. Is this you?

You are nearing completion of your third year of university study—or have already completed it—in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fashion Business, Visual Communication or a closely related field. Final-year students and graduates are welcome.

You are confident with Photoshop and Illustrator, have a strong eye for detail and are keen to learn new creative tools, including AI. You’re also organised, reliable and genuinely willing to do hands-on warehouse work as well as creative work.

Most importantly, you’re ready to learn by doing. In our small team, everyone contributes to both the exciting projects and the everyday details. When you do the small things well, you gain the knowledge and trust to take on bigger responsibilities.

Grow with us

You’ll be paid from your first day, with pay and entitlements meeting the applicable legal requirements. We’ll provide hands-on training and review your progress after your first month.
