About The Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, confidence, and quality of life. We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, respectful, and proactive Female Disability Support Worker in Wedderburn to support a client with community access and household tasks.
The successful applicant will be someone who is comfortable providing practical day-to-day assistance, can work independently, and can build a professional, respectful, and trusting relationship with the client.
Duties may Include (but not limited to)
- Supporting the client with community access and attending appointments.
- Assisting the client with supermarket shopping and other essential errands.
- Supporting the client to access the community and participate in day-to-day activities.
- Providing assistance with household cleaning and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Encouraging independence and choice while providing appropriate assistance.
- Building a positive, professional, and respectful relationship with the client.
- Following individual support plans, care instructions, and relevant workplace procedures.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting any concerns or changes in the client's needs.
- Completing other reasonable duties as requested by the client and in accordance with their support requirements.

About You We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working as a Disability Support Worker, Personal Care Worker, Aged Care Worker, or in a similar support role.
- Has experience providing community access and/or domestic assistance.
- Is reliable, responsible, and flexible with their availability.
- Is comfortable assisting with household cleaning and day-to-day tasks.
- Is willing and able to assist with appointments, shopping, and community-based activities.
- Is respectful of the client’s privacy, dignity, preferences, and independence.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is calm, patient, compassionate, and qualified.
- Can work independently while following support plans and workplace procedures.
- Can build a positive and respectful working relationship with the client.
- Holds or is willing to obtain the required NDIS screening and compliance checks.
- Holds current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Has a current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, where required for the role.
