Field Sales Representative – Cafés & Local Venues (Melbourne)

Full time role · $30/hr + $100 per venue + super

Hey hey! Prizecart is hiring its first in-store sales rep.

Prizecart is an Australian shopping app that gives people free chances to win real cash & prizes just by shopping where they already shop. We've run it across 250+ online brands, and now we're bringing it into local shops. A customer buys their coffee, snaps their receipt in our app and gets chances to win. The shop pays a flat monthly fee. No hardware, no POS integration.

The role

We're looking for a personable hustler to help kickstart our local network. You'll be out on Melbourne's shopping strips walking into cafés, bakeries, takeaway shops, barbers and convenience stores, and more - getting to the owner and signing them up on the spot. It's cold door-knocking and you'll hear no a lot. If you've done it before and you're good at it, this is an easy product to say yes to.

What you'll do

- Work the strips full-time (40 hours a week), planning your own days around when owners are actually free, this may include weekends, or early evening shifts (4pm+ when evening hospitality opens, burger chains etc)




- Ideally pitch and close in the same visit, take the first month's payment and set the venue up, or leave a card & chase up later.

- Help set each venue up: poster up, and staff know what to say.

Pay

- $30 an hour - 38 hours per week
- $100 for every venue you sign: $50 once they've been with us a month, and another $50 once they've stayed three months
- 12% super on top of everything you earn, paid monthly
- We expect an average of 6 new venues a week across your first 3 months, lifting after that.

What we're looking for

- You've sold face to face to small business owners: merchant services, EFTPOS, POS, delivery apps, hospitality supply or wholesale
- You close in the room,
- You know a café's rhythm: you don't pitch at peak 8:30am, you come back at 2
- A car, a licence and a smartphone
