Working as part of a small finance team, you'll be the go-to person for monthly payroll while also supporting key accounting processes.

About the role:

n

n
- End-to-end management of monthly payroll across two payroll entities.
n
- Managing payroll for approx. 50–60 employees (mix of permanent salaried and casual)
n
- Owning payroll compliance and reporting, including Super + Payday Super, PAYG obligations/reporting, payroll tax, and award interpretation across multiple awards.
n




- Supporting month-end accounting tasks including journals and accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
- Providing AP/AR support during peak periods and leave cover.
n
- Working closely with key internal stakeholders across the business and operating confidently in a standalone payroll function.

About you:

n

n
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience (monthly cycle) and confidence owning deadlines.
n
- MYOB experience is high regarded but not a must have.
n
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll compliance requirements and award interpretation.
n
- Solid transactional finance capability, including reconciliations and month-end support (journals/accruals/prepayments).
n
- A proactive, switched-on approach with the ability to work autonomously while still being a team player.
n
- Robust attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
