About the Role
n
Reporting to the Workshop Manager / Service Manager, you'll play an important role in keeping our commercial fleet safe, reliable and ready for work.
n
You'll be responsible for servicing, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of commercial light vehicles and utes.
n
From routine servicing to complex fault-finding, you'll have the opportunity to use your trade skills every day and work across a broad range of mechanical systems.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Service,
maintain and repair Mazda, Isuzu, Great Wall and similar commercial vehicles and utes.
n
- Diagnose and repair faults across diesel and petrol engines.
n
- Carry out repairs to engines, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, driveline and associated components.
n
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
n
- Complete scheduled and preventative maintenance.
n
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, safety and roadworthiness issues.
n
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high mechanical and safety standard.
n
- Keep accurate job cards, service reports and maintenance records.
n
- Communicate with the Workshop Manager regarding vehicle condition, urgent repairs and parts requirements.
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for a mechanic who is experienced, reliable and takes genuine pride in their workmanship.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
- A recognised trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Mechanic.
n
- Experience servicing and repairing commercial light vehicles, utes or fleet vehicles.
n
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
n
- Experience working across both diesel and petrol vehicles.
n
- Confidence using diagnostic scan tools and workshop equipment.
n
- Experience with Mazda, Isuzu, Excellent Wall or similar commercial vehicle brands.
n
- A current Driver's Licence.
n
- A strong understanding of workshop safety and maintenance procedures.
n
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
n
n
Your Experience Could Include
n
Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
n
n
- Fleet or commercial workshop environments.
n
- Dealership experience.
n
- Trade vehicles, utility vehicles or light commercial fleets.
n
- Roadworthy inspections or vehicle inspections.
n
- Air-conditioning servicing.
n
- Forklift or other relevant mechanical licences/tickets.
n
- Additional automotive qualifications or certifications.
n
