About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced FIFO Electrician to join our team on an 8/6 roster working day shifts only. This is a contract position based in Port Hedland, WA 6721. As a FIFO Electrician, you will play a crucial role in delivering reliable electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across our diverse portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities

- Undertake electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance work in accordance with relevant Australian electrical standards and codes of practice
- Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to identify faults and implement corrective solutions
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure work is completed accurately
- Install, test, and commission electrical equipment, wiring systems, and control systems
- Perform preventative maintenance activities on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols, risk management procedures, and site-specific safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding work progress and any technical issues




- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on work processes and safety practices

What we're looking for

- Current Full Electrical License (Electrician) recognised in Western Australia
- Current FIFO medical clearance or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
- Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience as a qualified electrician
- Demonstrated competency in general electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding
- Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and relevant safety regulations
- Valid Driver's Licence (Australian state/territory or international)
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Experience working in FIFO environments and on industrial or commercial projects is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling and work at heights where required
