The Finance Manager – Fixed Assets & Leases is responsible for leading the delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of fixed asset and lease accounting processes across the organisation. Reporting to the Group Manager – Record to Report, this role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong control environments, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The position plays a key role in managing offshore service delivery, supporting business stakeholders, and driving process efficiencies.
Through effective leadership and collaboration, the role contributes to operational excellence and the successful delivery of Record-to-Report objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, lease accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and period-end activities.
- Maintain the integrity of fixed asset records and balance sheet accounts through robust review processes, reconciliations, and effective exception management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and governance requirements, including IFRS lease accounting and capitalisation frameworks.
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, driving accountability for timelines, service levels, and quality outcomes.
- Oversee offshore service delivery teams, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs while supporting knowledge transfer and process stabilisation initiatives.
- Partner with Finance leaders, Project teams, Asset Custodians, and other key stakeholders to provide accounting guidance, financial insights, and issue resolution.
- Support internal and external audit activities, coordinate control testing,
and implement remediation actions to strengthen the control environment.
- Identify and deliver process improvement opportunities through standardisation, automation, and collaboration with digital, systems, and continuous improvement teams.
What You Will Bring
- CA, CPA, or equivalent skilled accounting qualification, supported by strong technical expertise in financial reporting and accounting standards.
- Significant experience in Record-to-Report, financial control, or shared services environments, with strong exposure to fixed assets, lease accounting, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, fixed asset accounting, capital project accounting, and lease accounting requirements.
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, OneStream, Power BI, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Proven capability to lead or work effectively with offshore or managed service delivery teams while maintaining high-quality outcomes and service performance.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across finance, operations, and external partners.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement, managing change, and delivering results in complex environments.
