An established Australian business operating within the manufacturing, import, export and logistics sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its senior management team.

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced finance professional to lead the organisation's finance function and contribute to the strategic growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the financial and accounting activities of the business.
- Prepare and oversee annual budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Develop financial strategies to improve profitability and support business growth.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation obligations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements to business operations.
- Manage financial risk, internal controls and corporate governance processes.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.
- Provide strategic financial advice to directors and senior management regarding business performance, investments and operational decisions.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
- Analyse financial data and prepare management reports to support decision-making.

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance,



Commerce or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, taxation and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial management principles.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and leadership skills.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a senior management team.
