We are seeking an accomplished Finance Manager to take ownership of the organisation’s finance function and work closely with the CEO and broader leadership team.

This is a broad, influential position for someone who can move comfortably between financial strategy and the day-to-day mechanics of finance. You’ll provide leadership with clear financial visibility while ensuring reporting, cash flow, compliance, payroll and financial controls are managed accurately and effectively.

Rather than sitting above the numbers, you’ll remain close to them. Identifying issues early, strengthening processes and giving leaders the financial information they need to make informed decisions.

What you'll be responsible for:

You will have end-to-end oversight of the finance function, with responsibilities including:

- Delivering timely and accurate management and financial reporting
- Maintaining solid visibility over cash flow and the organisation’s financial position
- Leading annual budgets, forecasting and ongoing financial planning
- Reviewing performance against budget and investigating key variances
- Providing meaningful financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team
- Overseeing payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant Award requirements
- Managing PAYG, FBT, WorkCover and other statutory obligations
- Ensuring financial practices comply with Australian Accounting Standards and applicable regulatory requirements
- Coordinating external audits and ensuring findings and recommendations are appropriately addressed
- Maintaining effective financial controls, policies, systems and procedures
- Partnering with operational leaders across different service areas to improve financial understanding and accountability




- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and overall efficiency

What we're looking for:

You will be an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and being actively involved in the function you lead. Ideally, you will bring:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Approximately 10 years' relevant finance experience, including significant responsibility for a finance function
- Strong technical knowledge across financial reporting, accounting standards, taxation and statutory compliance
- Demonstrated budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management capability
- Experience overseeing payroll and Award-related compliance
- Strong accounting systems capability, with Xero experience highly regarded
- The ability to interpret financial information and communicate it clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Confidence working directly with senior executives and operational leaders
- Strong attention to detail, accountability and the ability to manage competing priorities

Experience within community services, health, NFP or another purpose-led environment would be advantageous, although candidates from other sectors with the right breadth of finance experience are encouraged to apply.
