Local Kitchen Co is a fast-growing South Australian food business delivering convenient, high-quality meals through our retail stores, online channels, NDIS and Support at Home services, and commercial kitchen operations.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Finance Officer to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, banking, reconciliations and statutory reporting across multiple entities.
This is an chance to play an important role in strengthening our internal finance capability and providing practical financial information that supports better business decisions.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing monthly financial reports, reconciliations and commentary
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and cash-flow reporting
- Processing fortnightly payroll and superannuation accurately and on time
- Preparing BAS, GST, FBT and other statutory returns
- Maintaining accurate financial and inventory information in Odoo
- Reviewing stock movements, product costs and bills of materials
- Supporting budgets, forecasts and analysis of financial variances
- Working with operational leaders to improve financial understanding and cost control
- Maintaining effective financial and payroll controls across the business
About you
You will be practical,
organised and comfortable working across the detail of a busy finance function. You will also be able to explain financial information clearly and build effective relationships across the business.
You will ideally bring
- Experience in a hands-on accounting or finance role
- Experience preparing management accounts, reconciliations and cash-flow reports
- Strong payroll experience, including superannuation, PAYG and leave reconciliations
- Knowledge of BAS, GST, FBT and Australian statutory reporting requirements
- Strong Excel and data-analysis skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of your responsibilities
Experience in food manufacturing, a multi-site business, product costing or Odoo would be highly regarded.
A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline is required.
