We’re in an exciting period of growth and transformation, and we’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our close-knit Finance team at our Head Office in Shepparton.

This is a great prospect to take ownership of key financial accounting processes within a growing business, where you’ll play an important role in strengthening our systems, improve processes and finance capability for the future.

The role

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider Finance team, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing accurate and timely monthly financial reporting
- Maintaining general ledger integrity, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals and account reviews
- Ensuring appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards
- Coordinating month-end and year-end processes
- Oversight of accounts payable processes, including invoice review and approval, workflow monitoring, reconciliations and issue resolution
- Supporting accounts receivable and payroll processes as required
- Reviewing clearing accounts,



investigating discrepancies and ensuring issues are resolved
- Maintaining key finance registers, schedules and supporting documentation
- Supporting external audit and year-end requirements
- Helping maintain and improve finance systems, processes and internal controls
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and make better use of technology and automation

There will also be opportunities to broaden your experience across budgeting, forecasting, costing, profitability and management reporting.

About you

You’ll have a solid financial accounting foundation, with an understanding of financial reporting and Australian Accounting Standards.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Experience in a financial accounting, company accounting or similar role
- Strong general ledger and reconciliation skills
- Sharp attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- A willingness to learn, take ownership and continue developing your accounting skills





CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded but not essential. Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food and beverage or an inventory-based environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
