Financial Planning Associate

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and technically minded financial planning professional to work alongside experienced advisers and play a key role in developing strategic financial advice solutions.
Your new role
As a Financial Planning Associate, you will support advisers across the full advice process, assisting with strategy development, research, modelling and preparation of client advice documentation. Working across a diverse range of client circumstances, you will contribute to delivering advice in areas including superannuation, retirement planning, investments, personal insurance, taxation and debt management.
Key responsibilities include
- Preparing Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs) and client review documentation.
- Conducting technical research across financial planning disciplines.
- Building and maintaining financial models, projections and advice calculations.
- Supporting portfolio construction and investment research activities.
- Completing insurance needs analyses and assisting with policy research.
- Liaising with advisers, clients and external providers to obtain required information.
- Ensuring advice documentation is accurate, compliant and ready for adviser review.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring previous experience in financial planning support or financial advice preparation, along with robust analytical capabilities and a passion for delivering quality client outcomes.
You will also possess
- Tertiary qualifications in Financial Planning, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of superannuation, investments, retirement planning, taxation and insurance strategies.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce detailed and compliant advice documents.
- Advanced attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using financial planning systems and technology.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
