About the role The Food & Beverage Stock Coordinator is a hands-on operational role responsible for the smooth running of stock management across all bars and concession outlets within the venue. Working closely with the Food & Beverage team, this role ensures that all outlets are fully stocked, well-presented, and compliant with food safety standards — both before and after events. This role also includes undertaking regular stocktaking.
This position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, check, and accurately record all incoming stock deliveries
- Rotate stock in accordance with FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to minimise waste
- Monitor expiry dates and proactively manage stock to ensure nothing goes out of date
- Conduct monthly stocktakes and report variances to the Food & Beverage Manager, as well as ad hoc counts as required
- Stock and replenish all bars and concession stands prior to each event, ensuring outlets are event-ready
- Ensure fridges, cool rooms, and storage areas are organised and adequately stocked
- Clean and tidy all concession areas and bars following events
- Clean and flush beer lines in accordance with venue hygiene standards and scheduled maintenance cycles
- Clean and change oil in deep fryers
- Undertake daily fridge and freezer temperature checks
About you
- Previous experience in a similar stock, cellar, or hospitality role preferred
- Understanding of stock rotation and basic food safety principles
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Food Safety Supervision Skill Set certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Physically capable of lifting and moving kegs, crates, and boxes
- Robust attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- A valid and current Working with Vulnerable People Check (Registration as an Employee, not Volunteer) is a mandatory requirement
About us Recognised as Tasmania's premier entertainment venue, MyState Bank Arena (MSBA) has hosted a diverse range of events, including concerts, conventions, exhibitions, gala dinners, trade shows, assemblies, sporting events, meetings, and weddings, delighting audiences from both Tasmania and interstate. The arena is also home to Tasmania's NBL team, the Tasmania JackJumpers. Originally commissioned by the Tasmanian Government in 1989 as the Derwent Entertainment Centre to commemorate the 1988 bicentennial year, the venue was returned to government ownership in 2020 and underwent a multi-million-dollar redevelopment.
That same year, the Tasmanian Government entered into a management agreement with LK Stadiums Management (Tas), part of the LK Group, which currently oversees the venue's operations.
