Help put meals on the table for South Australians who need them most. Join Foodbank SA & NT’s Mobile Food Hub and play a hands-on role in delivering practical food relief across the Eyre Peninsula.

- Make a visible difference in the lives of local individuals and families
- Work alongside a welcoming, diverse team of staff and volunteers
- Rostered hours are between Monday to Friday, predominantly in the afternoons
- Role based in Whyalla, supporting people in need across the Eyre Peninsula

About the Role Foodbank SA & NT has an opportunity available for a casual Food Hub Support assisting our Mobile Food Hub operating across the Eyre Peninsula. This is exciting opportunity to join a busy and friendly team of staff and volunteers, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.

Foodbank SA & NT Food Hubs are set up to resemble a general store and offer clients a dignified shopping experience. The Mobile Food Hub is a customised truck that travels to areas identified as being areas of great need with limited service or access to food relief.

We are looking for a reliable and community-minded Food Hub Support team member to help keep our Mobile Food Hub running smoothly. The responsibilities include:

- Restocking the Mobile Food Hub
- Stock control and ordering
- Support the organisation and presentation of the Hub
- In the absence of the Coordinator, coordinate and support the volunteer team and ensure daily administration is completed.

About You You are organised, dependable and comfortable working in a busy, people-focused environment. You communicate clearly,



manage your time well and can work confidently both independently and as part of a diverse team.

A National Police Clearance and First Aid Certificate are essential.

Foodbank SA & NT is South Australia and Northern Territories largest food relief organisation. We are a not-for-profit and non-denominational community-based organisation established in SA in 2000.

Our vision is to end hunger in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Our mission is to get the most good food, to the most people, in the most efficient way possible.

Foodbank SA & NT has 13 Food Hubs and provides food relief to over 150,000 people every month. One third of these are children. We source food from wholesalers, manufacturers, supermarkets and growers, saving more than 2.5 million kilograms of food from landfill each year. In the last 12 months, we have sourced enough food to put more than 10 million meals on the table of those doing it tough in our community.
