About the role

This is a unique opportunity to take an integral role in supporting the service's pedagogy, practice and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work 3 days on the floor working alongside and supporting the Toddler Room team while contributing to high-quality educational practice and building strong relationships with children, families and educators. 2 days will be off the floor in the role of Educational Leader, providing pedagogical leadership, mentoring educators, supporting reflective practice and driving continuous improvement across the service. You will work closely with the Centre Manager, Pedagogy Leader and leadership team to maintain and build upon Exceeding practice and foster a culture of collaboration, reflection and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

- Providing pedagogical leadership and guidance across the service as Educational Leader
- Implementing and supporting high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
- Working collaboratively with educators to develop and maintain engaging, inclusive and inspiring learning environments
- Supporting educators to engage in meaningful observation, documentation, planning and assessment practices
- Ensuring the efficient management of programming and study time
- Supporting the timely completion and delivery of children's observation records, learning documentation and reports
- Providing strong leadership, mentoring and guidance to educators, fostering a positive, collaborative and reflective team culture
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice




- Working collaboratively with the Toddler Room team for three days each week to support high-quality practice, routines, relationships and learning experiences
- Developing and maintaining effective and qualified relationships with children and families

About you

- An ACECQA-recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree with NESA Teacher Accreditation
- Experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education and care setting
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates, along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- Completed approved Child Protection Training and a demonstrated understanding of current child safety practices, including the NSW Child Safe Standards
- A current Working with Children Check
- The ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with children, families, educators and other stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work flexible shifts across 5 days per week
