Key Requirements

- You must be an Australian Citizen — this is a federal government engagement requiring that you hold a Baseline security clearance. No visa holders, no PRs.
- Hands-on experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform (Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse) end-to-end — from requirements analysis through defect management.
- Proven test automation chops across UI and API/integration layers, with real CI/CD pipeline integration in Azure DevOps — not just 'I've heard of Playwright'.

The Gig G'day, automation testing trailblazers!

Cloud Delivered is on the hunt for Functional Automation Testers to join a high-performing testing practice at a well-regarded federal maritime authority. This is a 12-month contract (with up to two 12-month extensions — yes, that's potentially three years of solid gig) based in Victoria or New South Wales, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Picture this: You're embedded in a digital transformation programme, putting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions through their paces. You're not just clicking through screens — you're designing and maintaining automated regression suites that fire off automatically inside Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. UI testing, API testing, integration testing, UAT — you nail the lot, across multiple concurrent projects, without needing someone to hold your hand.

The team needs people who can hit the ground running, pivot between business domains as priorities shift, and bring genuine depth in modern testing tooling — Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro, Postman/Newman, VS Code, the works.

We know because we do. The Cloud Delivered crew are senior ICT contractors ourselves. We've sat in testing teams, written automation frameworks, and wrestled with flaky pipelines at 11pm before a release. We know what 'positive' looks like, and we'll back the right candidates hard.

This role is open to Australian Citizens only who already have a Baseline security clearance. The working arrangement is hybrid so you'll need to be local or willing to relocate.

Essential Criteria

1.



Demonstrated experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform applications (Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse) and their associated business processes, including the ability to analyse requirements, design test scenarios, execute tests, manage defects, and support end-to-end business process validation.
2. Demonstrated experience performing UI, functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing across web-based and enterprise applications, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
3. Strong experience in test automation and modern testing tools, covering both:

- UI regression testing — design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated UI test suites for enterprise applications, particularly Dynamics 365/Power Platform, using Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro, or similar automation frameworks; and
- API/integration testing — automating validation of backend services and integrations (e.g., API Management-fronted APIs, Dataverse plugins/custom APIs, authentication flows) using tools such as Postman/Newman, REST Assured, or Playwright's API testing capabilities.

1. Demonstrated experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), so tests execute automatically as part of build and release processes rather than solely on manual trigger.
2. Demonstrated proficiency with Visual Studio Code (VS Code), Azure DevOps, source control, defect management, and test management and reporting practices. Demonstrated understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile delivery methodologies, including experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
3. Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to move between projects, technologies, testing phases, teams, and business domains as organisational priorities change.

Desirable Criteria

1. ISTQB Automation Certification or similar certification.

Experience testing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Power BI solutions in depth (e.g., server-side/plugin logic, environment variable and secret configuration, API Management policy validation).
3. Experience using Jira or similar tools for test management and defect management, alongside Azure DevOps.
