Are you a fun, outgoing, but organised person who just loves to throw a good party! This role is ideal for a recent retiree, someone downscaling their working in paid employment or an event coordinator with time to spare who wants to give back.

The Fundraising Events – Team Leader works with our Fundraising & Communications Lead to ensure that our events well organised, safe, financially viable and aligned with WFKA’s mission and brand.

Scope of Responsibility

Plan and lead fundraising events that align with the FWG Scope of Reference and agreed annual priorities.

Recruit, onboard and coordinate a small event sub-committee to support planning and delivery of each event.

Develop clear event plans including timelines, volunteer roles, simple budgets and income targets in collaboration with WFKA staff.

Coordinate venues, suppliers, equipment and event logistics in collaboration with WFKA staff.

Ensure risk assessments, Work Health and Safety requirements and organisational policies are followed.

Work collaboratively with WFKA staff regarding promotion and messaging.

Oversee event-day delivery to ensure a event is well organised, safe,



engaging experience for participants and volunteers.

Monitor income performance against targets and identify opportunities to improve future events.

- Provide post-event evaluations and monthly activity updates to the Fundraising Working Group (FWG).

This role works with and will be supported by the Fundraising & Communications Lead. It is expected we will have staff and other volunteers able to do some of the tasks but supervised and checked by this person who acts as a "project manager".

This is a current role. It requires a person with the flexibility to scale hours as needed ahead of events. Hours could therefore be seasonal.

Attendance at bi-monthly Fundraising Working Group meetings required when possible.

This person could work from home much of time as the office is short of desk space. There would be times when attendance onsite in Wangara is needed.
