We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket. This hands‐on role will lead the store team and manage people, stock, suppliers and operational performance while supporting sales, profitability and customer-service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Manage and coordinate the overall day-to-day operations of the supermarket.
n
- Lead, supervise, roster and develop store staff.
n
- Manage recruitment, training and employee performance.
n
- Oversee stock purchasing, ordering, inventory control and merchandising.
n
- Monitor sales, costs, labour, wastage and store profitability.
n
- Maintain high standards of customer service, store presentation and product availability.
n
- Manage supplier relationships and operational requirements.
n
- Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and relevant legislation.
n
- Implement store policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
n




- Monitor store performance and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
n
- Prepare operational reports and liaise with owners/senior management.
n
- Take overall responsibility for efficient and effective store operations.
n

Skills required

n

n
- Minimum 3 years experience in retail or supermarket management.
n
- Relevant qualification in Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
n
- Strong experience in team leadership, staff rostering and performance management.
n
- Experience in stock control, ordering, merchandising and retail operations.
n
- Valuable understanding of sales, budgets, costs and profitability.
n
- Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
n
